Fire without Flame 

I spent a day 
at the peace festival, 
yet there 
was no peace for me.
I wanted to dance 
with the drunks, 
the tramps 
and the 
uninhibited 
but
my spirit 
could not break free 
from memories 
that keep me tied.
Destined 
always to be 
a fire without flame.
