Don’t lets be beastly to our Tony

 Politicians, I surmise, are vigilant, profound and wise

and surely nearly all deserve to simply be allowed to serve.

DEMOCRACY,oh hymn its name, they all reflect its lambent flame

and see their task as, patiently, explaining it to proles like me.

They’d never seek to aggrandise their status quo by telling lies

their status after all is such they’d never need to ( well, not much!)

It’s only NEWSHOUNDS, mountebanks, who seek to play their rascally pranks

and make us think that Parliament’s collapse is almost imminent.!.

But any fool with eyes can see they live in perfect harmony

secure in almost cloistered calm they dispense Governmental balm,

a Paradise, without a sign of schism, such is British Socialism!

Our only problem here is that, as a Nation, we’re too fat!!
